Cosmic Book News Gets Banned By Dan Slott On Twitter For Amazing Spider-Man #698 Spoilers
November 21, 2012 13:08 | Updated: 26 weeks 3 days Ago
Monday night saw the entire issue of Amazing Spider-Man #698 somehow make its way on to the internet.
Now, it wasn't Cosmic Book News that was responsible, but either a source within Marvel itself or a buddy of Marvel's that they gave a review copy to early.
Regardless, Amazing Spider-Man #698 sold out early and has already gone to second print.
That's some nice coin there.
Meanwhile, Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott tweeted that any site or person that links to or spoils the issue will get banned by him!
DumDumDumDuuuum.
About 17 or so hours - from our indication - that the Amazing Spider-Man spoilers went online, we came across them and posted them for the world to see.
Seems Slott went and made a deal with Quesada, JMS and Mephisto, and pulled a fast one on the Spider-Man fans.
It's ironic, too, because at the 2011 NYCC I told Slott that his first issue of Amazing brought be back to Spider-Man after all the "One More Dollar" crap of the previous Spider-Man regime.
The more things change, huh?
It's not really that big of deal as we weren't following Dan as it was.
Dan, can you do us a favor? Say high to Brian Michael Bendis for us via Twitter.
Thanks.
