DC Comics has announced that the "Justice League Canada" book set for April from Jeff Lemire, has undergone a name change with Justice League United in addition to stating it will be in part space-based.

USA Today revealed the following cover and details.

Following the series end of Justice League of America in April, a special zero issue for Justice League United will debut with Lemire as writer and Mike McKone as the series artist.

Justice League United will see the stories set in Toronto, Ontario as well as cosmic settings in space.

"It keeps the book fresh when you have those two very different settings or landscapes to go between," Lemire said. "It's very much a swashbuckling, world-jumping space adventure."

The new JLU are made up of: Stargirl, Martian ManhunterHawkmanGreen Arrow, Animal Man, Supergirl and a reintroduced Adam Strange. Their base of locations is set in near the James Bay coast, just below the Arctic.

Regarding Adam Strange, the character will now be Canadian, but still uses the Zeta Beam.

Lemire noted he wanted to keep the JLU connected to Earth, like a bridge, instead of leaving it alone in space.

The second arc will center around Hawkman and Thanagar, and the series will also see the debut of a super-powered female Canadian teeager.
