Marvel Announces Fear Itself tie-in: The Home Front and Agents of Atlas back-up

Marvel announces a "Fear Itself" seven issue tie-in "The Home Front" from writer Christos Gage and artist Mike Mayhew which begins this April.

"The Home Front" sees 'Speedball’s continuing quest for personal redemption he has sought since his role in the tragedy that kicked off "Civil War."'

Gage has this to say:

"In the first issue, we'll see that Speedball has been secretly, in disguise, going back to Stamford regularly as a civilian and getting involved with charity work to try and atone for what he feels is his responsibility for the people that died there. He happens to be there at a time when the affects of Fear Itself start to take hold and that leads to a very charged set of circumstances."

When "Fear Itself" hits, Speedball's identity is revealed to the citizen's of Stamford, CT which puts them at odds.

Gage goes on to state that "The Home Front" will just not take place in Stamford as it will go global. Just how? Well, Speedball is an instructor for Hank Pym's Avengers Academy (also written by Gage). Pym has his "Infinite Mansion" - with the dimensional doors. Not only will se see "Fear Itself" from Speedball's perspective - but from the regular citizens of the Marvel U. as well.

A back-up featuring the Agents of Atlas from writer Peter Milligan and artist Agustin Padilla will be featured in the first four issus. This brings in the team, lead by Jimmy Woo, to investiate the events that surround "Fear Itself."
