Loeb's Nova and Bendis' GotG won't last 9 issues each if you hold your Golden Boys to the same sales rules as every other book. You've already alienated the cosmic fans by destroying the concepts that made these books great. We don't buy & the books fail.

Brevoort: I will bet all of the money in my pocket against all of the money in your pocket that both of those books go well beyond 9 issues. The rest of what you say is valid--it's up to the audience to decide whether to buy a book or not. But taking that into account, you're talking about creative teams that have an extensive track record of selling extremely well.
