Review: Resurrection Man #10

Since the relaunch of the DCU and the coming of the new Resurrection Man title, I have found it particularly hard to believe that this writing team of Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning is the same excellent team that brought us Marvel Cosmic and will soon be bringing us The Hypernaturals, a wonderful sci-fi concept.

But not unlike the book Man-Thing without Steve Gerber, Resurrection Man – which I still find an incredible concept – has loped along until Zero Hour arrives in September and it will be gone. And I find myself not really caring.

DnA sadly carry out a bargain basement battle between good and evil in the pages of #10 with Mitch Shelly’s soul as the prize. Blah blah snore.

Even the uninspired art of Jesus Saiz seems draggy and propels the bland story nowhere.

But that has become the RM status quo, and few readers expect more. That is why a potentially great title under a proven great team of writers will soon die.

Sad.
