3418 Diamond has released its preliminary sales results for September, and we see that a Thanos title has taken the top spot for graphic novel sales.

Again.

Jim Starlin's The Thanos Quest won Marvel the #1 position for the month of September.

Back in March of 2011 Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning's The Thanos Imperative HC came in at #10, the best selling Marvel graphic novel of that month — much to the surprise of Marvel.

Tom Brevoort stated on his Form Spring the sales for The Thanos Imperative HC were "absolutely stunning."

We are guessing Tom never took the time to read it.

And we are sure Marvel will just chalk up sales for The Thanos Quest to The Avengers movie; however, I don't see one single "Avengers" core book making its way to the top 10 for the month of September.

And now Bendis is on his way to Guardians of the Galaxy.

No. It doesn't make sense to us either.
